Indian Overseas bank opened its extension counter at Aravind Eye Hospital on 17-4-1997 mainly to benefit the patients and personnel of Aravind Eye Hospital. Presently this facility is being utilized by 1446 staff and employees of Aravind Eye Hospital, who are holding saving bank accounts into which their monthly salaries are credited. Manned by 5 staff members with Manager in-charge, the extension counter is extending all sorts of banking facilities as well as group insurance linked with LIC and the I.O.B itself.
