Aravind Orbis-Paediatric Ophthalmology Fellowship Programme
Hospital Based Programme (HBP) for Strabismus
Dr. Stephen Kraft, Professor, Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Services, University of Toronto, Canada was in the department, Aravind-Madurai for a period of one week in order to provide training to the Fellows and Medical officers in Strabismus Management taking into consideration the predetermined course objectives set prior to the commencement of HBP programme. The objectives were to update the junior consultants and strengthen them in their weaker areas, to standardize and strengthen the fellowship programme, to learn the recent developments in the sub speciality and to make us more confident in surgical skills. Around 14 participants comprising of medical officers, paediatric fellows and residents posted in the department participated in the programme. Voluntary Faculty assisted the Fellows and Medical Officers in strabismus .
