We welcome you to this two-day workshop aimed at bringing together private practitioners, to distil and share best practices and to provide insight into the different approaches adopted to overcome the common challenges faced in private practice.
Private practice forms a significant part of the eye care scenario in India. And while there are a lot of issues and challenges in private practice, there is also a tremendous amount of knowledge and insight amongst the practitioners–both about the issues as well as the solutions. This two-day workshop, intends to provide a platform where private practitioners can come together to discuss the various issues relating to starting and managing private practice, building the practice and how to prepare for the future opportunities and challenges. Most of the speakers are experienced private practitioners, drawn from across the country.
Given that there is no similar forum where private practitioners can come together, such an event can add immense value by leveraging the potential in the collective knowledge and experience.
The workshop intends to:
Articulate the different issues related to private practice and to analyse the different models that exist as solutions for these issues
Share best practices to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of eye care service delivery in the private sector
To deliberate on the external dynamics that have an implication on the future of private practice in ophthalmology
The intended outcomes of the workshop are:
Awareness of the different approaches and innovations to solving issues related to private practice
Improved knowledge and application of sound management practices relating to patient load and profitability
