Usually, despite the right ideas and resources being available, due to the lack of a conducive and supportive environment, the implementation of eye care programs are at sub-optimal levels, resulting in less than desired outcomes. This can frustrate those involved, who, given the right environment and support, can show much better results. We often take impediments in the environment as unchangeable. How do we bring about a paradigm shift towards removing the impediments and as eye care providers how we can proactively create an enabling environment?
Objectives
To identify the elements that lead to the creation of an ideal enabling environment
To explore ways to achieve this in various settings
To develop a process to assess the extent to which the “enabling environment” exists in an eye care program/hospital
Find out how your presence can make a difference.
