Aravind has moved a step further in extending its services to the community, by starting a hospital at Pondicherry, to shoulder in its mission in eliminating needless blindness in the community. The hospital is well equipped and designed in a way that would help Aravind to maintain its standard in providing eyecare service. The hospital facilities accommodate 150 paying patients and 600 free patients.A comprehensive target has been set for the year 2003, with a prime aim of laying a strong foundation for the building blocks of Aravind's vision.
