Program Structure
Structured Training:
- Duration: 1 year
- Stipend during the training: Rs. 8000/- per month
- Salary on conformation will be on par with the market standards (Current Salary: Rs. 12,000/- per month – subject to change)
1st Quarter
- Orientation to the various aspects of Eye care
- General Orientation to AECS
- Intensive training program
2nd & 3rd Quarter
- Departmental Rotations
- Involving in the ongoing activities
- Individual and team assignments
4th Quarter
- Internship in an Aravind Eye Hospital
- Externship in an outside Eye Hospital
- Preparatory placement for the prospective jobs
2nd Year Onwards
After the successful completion of the one year training candidates will be placed in the following positions (depending on performance/ potential/ interest/ need):
- Managers at Aravind Eye Hospitals
- Managers at Partner Hospitals (India & other developing countries)
- Project Management
- Management Consultancy
- Teaching & Training
- Research
After the training and confirmation, the candidates are expected to work for a minimum of 3 years with Aravind.
Recruitment Process
- Campus interviews in institutions offering PG programs in hospital & health care management
- Direct applications from Potential Candidates
- Final round interview for the short listed candidates at LAICO
