I was posted at the Vivekananda Mission Ashram – Netra Nirmaya Niketan Eye Hospital, located in Chaitanyapur, West Bengal, where I had a very good experience. It was fascinating to learn about the working and procedures of a hospital outside the AECS. And it gave me an opportunity to test the ability and knowledge I gained through my Aravind fellowship.
The assignments which I handled there included manpower planning, waiting time analysis, bed turnover ratios, space planning, and streamlining the patient flow.
While looking back to my external posting, it was a great experience that gave me a lot of confidence in my work……
