Sagarmatha Choudhary Eye Hospital is located at Lahan, a town in the middle part of Nepal particularly known for its mangos. Lahan in the Siraha district has become known and developed because of the eye hospital.
The hospital is located about 200 metres away from the eastern edge of Lahan, with a huge campus of around 20 bigars, and includes a nice garden with coconut trees, leechee trees and mango trees. The hospital campus has all kinds of sports facilities, including facilities for badminton, volleyball and tennis, and I enjoyed playing badminton every evening under the lights.
Looking back on my posting, I think it was a great experience. I had to overcome a lot of problems while travelling, and I think this has given me a lot of confidence. It was a great opportunity to see the northern part of India and see the different cultures and people throughout the country.
