OUTREACH AT ARAVIND

An integral part of AECS is its community outreach programmes which take eye care service to the doorstep of the community. In the year ending March 2011, over 2600 camps were conducted through which 918,900 patients were screened and 76,033 patients underwent surgery.

These camps also serve to educate the local community on eye care. Towards this end, several comprehensive eye care programmes are organised.
